Has there been a Ford vehicle more hotly anticipated than the upcoming Bronco? It’s doubtful. We’re still waiting for the full size two and four door Bronco to arrive at dealerships, but in the meantime, we have the Bronco Sport Outer Banks to tide us over. The Bronco Sport is the smaller cousin of the Bronco, it has a 105 inch wheelbase which is about the same as a Ford Escape, but it shares many of the same features as the full size Bronco, and it’s as rugged as you’d expect from a vehicle that bears the Bronco name.

We have a 2021 Bronco Sport Outer Banks in a brand new color called Area 51, and it goes nicely with the black painted roof, the black painted roof rails that can support up to 150 lbs of gear, and the 18 inch black painted aluminum wheels. All of the lighting up front is LED including the fog lights and the circular signature lighting around the headlights. It’s got a black mesh grille with Bronco in white lettering across the front. Behind the grille, you get active grille shutters that regulate the air flow, this improves engine performance and fuel economy. All the rear windows are dark tinted, and the tail lights are LED. Across the liftgate you get Bronco Sport in white lettering, and there are actually two buttons under the liftgate handle. The one on the right side opens the back glass, while the button on the left side opens the entire liftgate.

The inside of the liftgate is actually equipped with LED flood lights, great for when you’re loading things up at night. And another fun feature, the cargo bay has a latch that can double as a bottle opener, perfect for doing some tailgating. And with these second row seats folded down, you get 65.2 cubic feet of cargo space. That’s aided by the safari style roof. The raised roofline at the back isn’t just for looks, it seriously improves the cargo space in the back, you can even fit two mountain bikes back here because of it. And the icing on the cake, it has a rubberized cargo floor, you don’t have to shy away from throwing your muddy boots back here.

Under the hood you get a 1.5L EcoBoost engine. It’s a turbocharged three cylinder that produces 181 horsepower and 190 lb. ft. of torque. It’s got a surprising amount of get-up and go to it, and it helps the vehicle get 28 miles per gallon on the highway. And of course, the Bronco Sport is four wheel drive, and it’s got a smooth as silk 8 speed automatic transmission. All the underpinnings of this vehicle are off-road tuned, particularly the new HOSS suspension system. That stands for High Performance Off Road Stability System. It’s a system designed to maintain composure on rugged terrain, but without the ride being too jarring. The Bronco Sport comes with a revamped terrain management system as well, we’ll be discussing that later on in this blog post.

The Bronco Sport interior is rugged yet upscale, it has heated two tone leather trimmed front seats. They’re perforated, and they’ve got the Bronco logo in the stitching. It’s also got a good sized moonroof. The vehicle is push to start, and you shift into gear with a rotary dial. Behind the heated leather wrapped steering wheel you can see the 6.5 inch digital gage cluster. This is the screen that will show you the terrain management system, with GOAT modes. The Bronco team loves their acronyms, GOAT stands for goes over any type of terrain. Each one of these GOAT modes changes aspects of the ride and drive based on what type of terrain you’re trying to tackle.

These modes include sport, eco, normal, deep snow & sand, and slippery. In the center stack you get an 8 inch touch screen, this is where you’re gonna see your voice activated navigation system. The navigation system actually allows you to leave a breadcrumb trail when you stray off the beaten path. If you find yourself lost in the woods, the breadcrumbs will lead you back to the trail. This screen is also where you’ll see this high resolution backup camera, and where you can change the color of the interior’s ambient lighting.

Below the screen you get a wireless phone charging pad, just lay your phone down on it and it’ll start charging. This Bronco Sport comes with a premium audio system from Bang & Olufsen. It’s a ten speaker system with a subwoofer, and it sounds fantastic. Possibly best of all, it has all the safety features you expect from a top of the line Ford. It’s got adaptive cruise control, a lane centering system for the highways, blind spot monitoring, and it’ll even come to a complete stop automatically if a collision is imminent. But how is the back seat area?

Well, the backs of the front seats are rubberized, making them super easy to clean if you get them dirty. They’ve also got zippered pockets and even molle straps. It’s a spacious back seat area as well, there’s 35.9 inches of legroom back there. And to top it all off, you get remote start on the key fob, as well as on your smartphone with the FordPass app. Check out our inventory to pick out your perfect Bronco Sport. If you don’t see it, let us know and we’ll order it for you. Don’t forget, the best place to buy a Bronco Sport in Dexter, Sikeston, or Poplar Bluff MO is right here at Bud Shell Ford!

The American full size truck market is more competitive than ever. Each year, Ford and Chevrolet roll out their flagship pickups; the Ford F-150 and the Chevy Silverado 1500. But which one of these 2018 model trucks are best? In this article, we’ll show you why F-150 is by far the best choice between the two. Now we know what you’re thinking, we are a Ford dealer, aren’t we biased? Sure, much of the comparison between the two comes down to personal preference, but for the sake of this post, we’ll be sticking to the features, specs, and hard statistics.

Let’s start with capability. If you want a truck, chances are you need to do some towing. Simply put, F-150 allows you to do more than Silverado 1500. F-150’s most potent engine is the 3.5 Turbocharged EcoBoost V6. Trucks with this engine have a conventional towing capacity of 13,200 lbs and a max payload of 3,230 lbs. Silverado’s most potent engine is the 6.2L V8, which carries a towing capacity of just 12,500 lbs and a max payload of 2,250. Not only does this 3.5 EcoBoost out-work Silverado’s best engine, but it has much better fuel economy while doing it, achieving a whopping 26 miles per gallon on the highway. Not even Silverado’s hybrid offering can achieve that fuel economy number! That’s not to mention F-150’s 3.0L Turbo Diesel offering that achieves 30 mpg on the highway. The 2018 Silverado 1500 does not currently have a diesel option available.

Now let’s talk configuration. Both F-150 and Silverado 1500 are available in regular, extended, and crew cab configurations with various short and long beds available. The value here with Ford’s offering is in the amount of combinations of these configurations available, there are 9 total. Silverado 1500 only offers 5 different combinations. It’s also worth noting that F-150’s long bed has more cubic ft of cargo space than Silverado’s long bed. As far as price goes, it can be a toss-up depending on what you’re looking for. If you want to get a bare-bones work truck. F-150 has the most affordable base price at $27,705. The base model Silverado 1500 costs $28,300. When getting into higher trim levels, the F-150 gets a bit more expensive than Silverado. This is due to the amount of features Ford offers that Chevy does not.

When it comes to interior fixtures, both F-150 and Silverado offer plenty of luxurious options. They include comforts such as heated & cooled seats, heated steering wheel, and 360 degree cameras. However, certain features you can get on an F-150 are nowhere to be found with Chevy’s offering. For instance, you can get massaging seats and a panoramic moonroof on an F-150, so when it comes to high end features, F-150 simply offers more. Both Chevy and Ford offer integration with Apple and Android phones, but only Ford offers integration with Waze, which is arguably the best navigation app on the market. Not to mention the premium Bang & Olufsen sound system that can only be found with Ford. F-150 also offers approximately 3 more inches of rear seat leg room and more compartment space than Silverado. In terms of safety, Silverado and F-150 both boast high ratings. However, Ford offers more safety features than Chevy, including blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, and lane keeping assist. F-150 also offers a unique self-parking system as well as trailer backup assist, which uses radar to help you maneuver with a trailer attached.

One more thing consider is the Ford F-150 Raptor from Ford’s high performance division. It’s an award-winning off road beast that has revolutionized the way people look at trucks. Chevy currently has no offerings competitive with the Raptor. Overall, much of the comparison is subjective. But the stats don’t lie, F-150 has more features, more space, and hauls more than Silverado. So with all of these things considered, the choice becomes clear. F-150 is without a doubt the best half ton truck money can buy in 2018.

How does the Raptor accomplish this? It all starts with the High-Output 3.5L EcoBoost engine. It is intercooled and twin turbocharged. This EcoBoost produces a massive 450 horsepower and 510 lb.-ft. of torque. That’s even more power than the previous 6.2L V8 offering! The Raptor is also equipped with 3.0″ FOX racing shocks. This gives the Raptor 13 inches of front and 14 inches of rear suspension travel, which provides off road performance and a smooth ride on the road.

Each one of these off-road-ready trucks is 4 wheel drive. These trucks have all the equipment that makes off-roading a breeze. This includes a state of the art hill descent control system, an independent front suspension, and an electronic locking rear differential. With features like these, you’ll be ready to handle whatever kind of terrain you want, no matter how rough.

If you’re looking for a truck that will stand out, the Ford F-150 Raptor has you covered. The unique Raptor grille has black painted Ford block letters and integrated marker lights. This truck also includes flared front fenders, heavy-duty skid plates, and a black Ford badge that extends across the tailgate. The LED headlamps and tail lamps are both surrounded by black accents. It also has an optional decal package that you can get. This F-150 has all sort’s of amenities available. These include a premium sound system from B&O Play, voice activated navigation system, and heated seats.

We are very excited to be carrying a piece of Ford’s Performance line. The truck will be in our showroom very soon, don’t miss your chance to own this exciting vehicle! Remember, Bud Shell Ford is Dexter, Sikeston, and Poplar Bluff’s premier Ford dealership.

Bud Shell Ford has an exciting new vehicle on it’s way here! We are getting a brand new Mustang Shelby GT350. In this blog post, I’ll be discussing just a few of the things that make this car so amazing. It’s unrivaled performance and distinct styling make it one of the best cars in the world.

Let’s start by talking about one of the things people care about the most in a Shelby; how it performs. Under the hood, this Mustang has a powerful 5.2L V8 engine with a flat-plane crank. This V8 engine produces 526 horsepower and 429 lb.-ft. of torque. But it’s not all about power, the Mustang Shelby GT350’s MagneRide damping system monitors itself 1,000 times per second, which helps create an exhilarating driving experience, as well as that signature Shelby engine growl. It’s quad tipped dual exhaust system with electronic valves also enhances the driving experience.

This Mustang has a red line of 8,250, making it the highest-revving production V8 ever. It has a 6 speed manual TREMEC transmission, which is strong enough to handle track days at high speeds. It also has Brembo calipers and high-performance Michelin Sport-2 tires, ensuring you get the most out of your brakes and wheels.

As far as styling goes, this Mustang will leave nothing to be desired. The one we have coming in has a Magnetic paint job with black racing stripes and black wheels. It will feature the iconic Cobra badge throughout the interior and exterior. This includes a badge in front of the passenger’s seat that tells the vehicle’s unique chassis number. The Shelby Mustang has unique cloth seats that are specific to the GT350.

We are very excited to have this top-notch vehicle coming in to Bud Shell Ford, and we can’t wait for you guys to see it once it comes in. Remember, the best place to buy a Mustang is right here at Bud Shell Ford; Dexter, Sikeston, and Poplar Bluff Missouri’s premier Ford dealership.

Are you in the Dexter or Sikeston, Missouri area and want a new or used vehicle? There is no better place to shop than at Bud Shell Ford. Think of all the experiences you’ve had at car dealerships in the past. Chances are, you’ve had at least one bad experience in one. It may have even been in Dexter or Sikeston. That’s an unfortunate reality; the car buying experience typically has low customer satisfaction rating. We at Bud Shell Ford take pride in how satisfied our customers are. If you look at our reviews on Facebook or Google, you’ll see we average 4.5 stars out of 5 at the very least.

The great reviews we get from the Dexter and Sikeston area come from a few different factors. First and foremost, we offer a no pressure sales environment. You’ve probably encountered pushy salesmen in the past, you’re never going to find those at Bud Shell Ford. Our environment is very laid back, we even have a customer lounge with free coffee, soft drinks, popcorn, and snacks. At Bud Shell Ford, we will never try to sell you something that you don’t need. With every service, we offer a free hand wash, tire rotation, and vehicle health report. People love going in for an oil change and having a clean car with tires rotated coming back to them. These are just a few of the ways we’ve been serving the people of southeast Missouri. Whether you’re from Sikeston, Dexter, Poplar Bluff, or somewhere else, we would love to serve you too! Thanks for reading, and be on the lookout for more blog posts.

They are the #1 and #2 best selling trucks in America respectively; but which truck is truly the king of the American full sized truck market? In terms of price, the F-150 has the edge over the Silverado. The base model regular cab F-150 XL is offered at $27,380, that’s nearly $1,000 less than the base model Silverado.

When it comes to capability, Chevrolet lags behind the Ford. Silverado has five bed/cab configurations where the F-150 has nine. If you need to do some towing, your choice is clear. When properly configured, the F-150 can tow up to 13,200 lbs which is best in class. Silverado can only tow 12,500 lbs. Ford offers best in class payload on the F-150 with 3,270 lbs, the Chevy is far behind with a max payload capacity of 2,250. The F-150 also offers the innovative trailer backup assist, which makes hooking up to a trailer a breeze.

Looking for a full sized truck with lots of great safety features? The F-150 has you covered. F-150 owns the prestigious IIHS Top Safety Pick label and five star crash test ratings. The IIHS gave the Silverado a lower safety rating due to their marginal score in a front-impact crash test.

Need power and performance? The F-150 has the edge. The base engine on the F-150 is a 290-horsepower 3.3L V6. Silverado’s entry level 4.3L V6 offers 285-horsepower. The power of Ford’s engines and lightweight aluminum bodies make the F-150 the clear performance choice. That’s not even mentioning Ford’s 450-horsepower off-road beast; the F-150 Raptor. The Silverado even lags behind in fuel economy. When properly configured, the F-150 can get 26 highway miles per gallon. Not even Chevrolet’s Hybrid offering can match that! The Silverado Hybrid gets 24 highway miles per gallon.

If you’re looking to purchase a new truck, look at the numbers. It’s clear which truck comes out on top. It’s numbers like these that make the F-150 the best-selling truck in America.

The Ford F-series is the best-selling vehicle in America, and it has been showered with numerous accolades from various auto publications. This includes Motor Trend’s prestigious truck of the year award. But what exactly makes the Ford F-150 so wildly successful? That is the question we at Bud Shell Ford will be addressing in this new blog post!

First of all, the F-150 has the capability to take on any task you need it for. This level of dependability has made the F-150 a cornerstone of the automotive industry. But what exactly makes this truck so capable? Well, it has a best-in-class payload and best-in-class towing for starters. Ford recently began making the F-150’s body out of military grade aluminum. This change has saved over 700 lbs in weight. Ford has re-invested this weight where it counts; the frame. The F-150 has a high strength, fully boxed steel frame, making it tougher than ever.

But it’s not just the toughness that makes this truck so great. Ford has loaded the F-series with all sorts of cutting-edge technology. Many of these trucks include features like 360 degree cameras, remote start, and remote tailgate release. The F-150 is also safer than ever, with available safety features such as lane keeping system, cross traffic alert, and pre-collision assist, not to mention the five star safety ratings. When you own a Ford truck, it comes along with peace of mind.

These are just a few of the reasons why the F-150 is the best-selling vehicle in America and has won so many awards. So whether you need a truck to haul cargo across the country, or to drive your family around town; there’s no better truck than the Ford F-150. The best place to purchase one is right here at Bud Shell Ford. We offer a wide variety of new and used trucks, so come in and check out our inventory.
